Who is responsible
PickBrief is the controller for personal data described in this notice. Privacy questions and rights requests can be sent to privacy@pickbrief.com.
Data processed when you visit
PickBrief does not provide accounts, accept payments, or intentionally collect sensitive personal information. Cloudflare, our hosting and security provider, may process standard request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, security signals, and timestamps to deliver and protect the website.
Purposes and legal basis
Technical request data is processed to provide the site, prevent abuse, diagnose reliability problems, and maintain security. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a safe, reliable informational service. Optional advertising or analytics technologies will not be activated without the disclosures and consent controls described below.
Advertising and cookies
PickBrief is being prepared for advertising but does not currently load Google AdSense code or set advertising cookies. If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may place and read cookies, use web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers, and use prior visits to this and other websites to serve, measure, and personalize ads. For visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, a Google-certified consent management platform will be activated before personalized advertising is served. It will provide the choices required for applicable advertising storage and personal-data use. Similar privacy choices will be provided where other regional laws require them.
Email communications
If you email us, we process your address, message, and related correspondence to answer the request and keep a record when necessary. The basis is taking steps at your request and our legitimate interest in handling support, correction, and privacy enquiries.
Providers, transfers, and retention
Cloudflare processes website traffic as a service provider and may handle data in countries outside your own under its published safeguards. Email providers process messages sent to our addresses. If Google advertising is enabled, Google and disclosed advertising partners may process advertising data under their published safeguards and consent choices. PickBrief does not sell personal information. We do not maintain a separate visitor database. Correspondence is kept only as long as needed to resolve the request, meet legal obligations, or establish and defend claims, then deleted or anonymized when no longer required.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise a right, email privacy@pickbrief.com; we may need enough information to verify and locate the request.
External links and changes
Third-party product links lead to services with their own privacy practices. We do not control those services. If subscriptions, forms, accounts, affiliate tracking, advertising, or optional analytics are activated, this notice and the relevant consent controls will be reviewed before launch.
